Some interesting and helpful stuff here.
Thanks for the offer to help Rajaie, but I think we should keep questions and answers to the forum so that others members can benefit.
Concerning the CPS, Kobus has made a good suggestion. But as far as I have been informed, a CPS failure would flag an error. And to add to that I have had four different diagnostics and never has an error related to the CPS been picked up.
I regards to Rajaie's suggestions, I have so far replaced the maf, the elbow from the throttle body, re-sealed the DISA valve with some rtv round the sealing point and inspected the DISA flap-which is in good working order. No of the jobs done have made any difference. The other thing I want to do is check the ccv. But I don't know where this is located. So perhaps you guys can help me on this one?
Also is there a way of checking the cps? I don't have a a scanner or any other means of reading codes. And perhaps someone can suggest a scanner that I should purchase.
One last thing. My car is 65k on the clock with a full dealer service history.
