Hmm, okay I will try to answer these to the best of my ability.

First, the mechanic I have is a German car specialist, but they arent into running tests or really insepcting the car like they owned it. They maintain cars, and give you their opinion on what might be wrong, but kinda seem like your average backyard mechanics.

The head was rebuilt becasue it was a bit warped, there were several leaks, and it did not run smoothly. The head was machined, but they did not do it, they had to send it out for that.

There were several valve springs replaced, and a few valves (3 I think). This was done with quite a bit of other service as well(new clutch, frt. main seal...)



As for the valve guides, I cannot be sure. I could ask, but I am really thinking of goins somewhere else for service (choices are hard to find here in Metro Detroit..unless you have a GM).
