If you are not burning much oil, it is still cheaper to drive the car. How much oil can you buy for the cost of a lower end rebuild?

The bottom end of these cars, the M30 engine you have, is generally considered bulletproof. If you are using the proper heavy oil, 20W-50 for most every ambient temp except frigid temps then you shouldn't use much oil. 1 quart per 3000 miles in my higher mileage car.
