PhotoBlocker reflective license spray

Subject: yikes! I've always lived by these rules for engine cleaning

battery disconnected - never steam clean - and no matter how safe the degreaser says it is, do not use it anywhere near an electrical connection.

Sounds like a short (I hope). Here is what i would do. get a fan, park your car in a garage, disconnect battery, and leave the fan on blowing down into your engine bay. Tomorrow, with the battery still disconnected, push the car into the sun, let the sun dry your bay, and keep the fan on.

Check your fuses, and please let us know what happened

prediction - someone is going to post saying it is totally safe to steam clean your engine - then I'm going to post a link from an expert explaining why it isn't, then they're going to say the expert doesn't know what he/she is talking about.

88 325is - 310,000 miles, one owner (me)
00 740il - 65,000
00 911 - 38,000miles...and a new engine!
