Looked under the hood and found that engine was very dirty. Decided to clean it. Took out bottom cover, sprayed engine cleaner from below, and then took car to the self car wash. Carefully, haha, sprayed from under the hood to bottom portion of the engine. Now no Nav..blank, No radio/CD. AC is still working and showing temperature. I have the 4x3 MKII Nav that comes standard with 2000 740iL.

I don't know what to do. Nice Memorial day cleaning project gone bad.
By the way engine looks way cleaner than what it was before.

Another thing.
I kept key in the II position and opened the hood without starting the car. Noticed that engine makes high pitch whistling sound. Weired! I had come back from a 30 min trip. Maybe that the engine is hot and it is doing something?? Along with the constant high pitch whistle there is another medium pitch noise that goes up and down like a cycle. Anyone has seen something like this? It must be there before but it is not loud enough to hear when engine is running. With hood open and it can make you crazy.
