Subject: I think the 9 pin connector is ont he tranny.

I've never worked on an automatic car nor had to troubleshoot one. Can you find the ETM/Wiring diagram? This will show you all the interfaces between the transmission brain and the transmission itself.

There should be one round connector on the transmission itself.

Remember the fault code is giving you a symptom not identifying the root cause. So, try and look at the big picture and see how it determines this is a problem. It could be that the pressure regulator has an electrical fault like improper resistance/open/short, or some sensor is giving a reading that is not 'sane.'

If you need the ETM send me an email with the last 7 of your VIN! Also I will grab the relevant manual pages.
