I installed vanos seals yesterday. First, amazing diy guide from Rajaie. Thank you.

It took me almost 6 hours of work, everything went smooth. Perfect write up! If you have tools, everyone can do it. I've noticed, that I used flex ratchet quite a lot as it was hard to get to some bolts in the back. Also, I inserted few paper towels in the plastic bag while removing Vanos unit - they absorbed oil and I did not have to take the unit from the pool of oil. While I was there, I changed spark plugs as well the valve cover gasket... surprisingly my o rings where still rubbery, elastic, not plasticized. VCG also still elastic, not brittle at all. Maybe previous owner changed the Vanos unit before.
The main reason why I changed the seals was that I have this fluctuating idle - perfectly fine when engine is cold, however, rpm dipping below 500 while warm and in neutral. First step I did was to clean ICV valve. That did not help. Then yesterday I changed the Vanos seals - still the same - idle fluctuates, I would say, even more. As of performance increase - I haven't noticed any, maybe it will come after seals will brake in.
So whats next? What causes the idle to fluctuate? DME?
