Wow if that is the A-Pack those steels and clutches re a lot larger than on the 4hp-22. Either way when I was done rebuilding the tranny it would not shift out of first until ~2.5K no mater what you did as time went on things got better and after 5 days it was shifting back at normal shift points. THe thought then was the governor in the tail stock had trash in it. Did you rebuild the valve body also, or just the clutches and steels? My guess is the some of that mud has worked its way into the valve-body or the govenor... since it will not go into gear I would bet the valve body. People have mentioned using some off the shelf DIY tranny flush fluids on other boards as a way to "flush the tranny" but if there is mud (clutch compound and steel residue) then I doubt if 3 flushes is goign to be better than using the off the shelf stuff. DO you have the equipment to make sure the pump is developing pressure?




82 528e X 2 (US) one died in a accident the other was traded in with >400,000 miles

89 528i (US) 270,000 miles Gave up the ghost, only one I have seen not to make it to 300k before dying on its own (low compression in cyln 3-6 and no combustion in cyln 2 and broken intake rocker cyln 1 but, it still ran drove to dealer to trade in)
90 325iC (US) 140,000 miles
91 325iC (US) 190,000 miles saved my life but gave its own (T bone to drivers door at 45 mph)
94 325iC (US) 160,000 miles
98 750iL (US) 180,000 miles
01 325i (US) 30,000 miles
Now you know why I drive BMWs it is not about the money it is not about the glamor they save lives, they drive exceptionally well, and they last forever.
