I purchased a 02 745LI with closed to 94,000 miles on it in February 08. My wife has managed to put 5000 miles on it to date I have not had a bit of problems with it. As a matter of fact it is at the dealership today getting the transmission fluid changed. After this change I will have the transmission fluid changed every 50,000 miles. I believe a "good car" or "bad car" is the type of maintenance that has been performed. And sometimess it is the luck of the Irish. My previous 1995 BMW 740IL was not the choice of many. But I managed to put 248,000 miles on her. I sold her to a friend and he is happy as heck with it.
