I-bus is on on pin 9 of ELOS connector under arm rest and the jumper pin 6&9 (per Martin's doc) is to loop I-bus back to pin 6 of DB25 in trunk. Therefore I-bus is on pin 6 of DB25 (as Lyonsden1980 mentioned) for pre-99 cars as post-99 E38 use pin 22 for I-bus.

This IS the pre-99 E38(3/98 in my case) DIY pin out for DB25 to ULF56 pin.

This is the CORRECT 26 TO 54 PINOUT the ULF
