I had a 5000k HID kit laying around so I decided to install it in the fog lights. My car has the projector fogs with the H1 bulb.

First remove the plastic grill next to the light. It just pulls out, careful not to break the tabs.

To remove the fog light remove the screw in the middle. The bottom screw is for adjustment. Here is a close up.

The light just pulls out

This pic shows the connector to the light, mine fell apart long time ago. The yellow-red wire is positive 12 volts, the brown wire is the ground.

The plug on the HID ballast is a standard plug for 9006 headlight bulb, I bought the connector at AutoZone.

I just plugged the red wire into the yellow red from the factory harness, and the black wire into the brown.

Connection taped with electrical tape.

Next, remove the H1 bulb from the foglight and replace it with the HID bulb. I applied silicone to keep water out.

Next I connected everything, and mounted the ballast in a secure location, and installed the fog light.

Here is just the fogligthts on.

And fogs with the headlights.

Also I did not get any warnings in the check control.
