My first thought is that the door panels got water damage. Can you tell if the fibre board that backs the trim is damaged?

To repair it, I would totally remove the door panels. I would use 3M contact cement to re-glue it. I would use a series of small clamps and tape to tightly wrap the trim back down on the backing panel until the contact cement secures them.
