No, sorry you can't use that. The connector in back is a different form factor. What you can try to do though is go to a dealer and tell him that you want it replaced for free (plus labor), based on the fact that BMW aknowledges the pixel issue with the OBC displays, or if they don't bite at all, shop around until you get a dealer that will do it for at least half the price. There are many people that tried over the years to repair these units (it's the lamination of the flexcircuit onto the display itself on the inside that goes bad), but as far as I know all the attempted fixes where at best very short lived. My advice is to get a new one. If you don't want to your local dealer to touch your car, google for and then email Gault auto (NY area), and tell them you want the 8 series forum rate. That would be the cheapest parts price you can get a new one for short of a local dealer giving you a rebate. I have no affiliation with them etc, etc..
