Subject: Here's the most complete list I have seen

The "x Generation" naming of the BMW Bluetooth ULF modules is not an official BMW thing. It is used among us enthusiasts. The Generation numbering starts with the first ULF module to get the built-in voice recognition. Then, the Generation reference just increments each time BMW introduces a new ULF that supercedes the previous modules.

Here is the most complete list I know of today. You can find (most of) this list in a RealOEM Search for Euro Cars, but it will often be one or two generations behind the latest available module. This will probably get outdated as BMW adds future generations. However, this list also includes the two known "Pre 1st Generation" ULF modules that did not have the SES (Voice Recognition) feature built-in.

84.21-6 915 563 Pre-1st Generation, no Voice Recognition (ended 10/2002)
84.10-6 931 854 Pre-1st Generation, no Voice Recognition (ended 3/2003)
84.21-6 934 552 1st Generation (ended 6/2003)
84.21-6 938 610 2nd Generation (ended 10/2003)
84.21-6 934 961 3rd Generation (ended 3/2004)
84.21-6 950 089 4th Generation (ended 6/2004)
84.21-6 945 387 5th Generation (ended 1/2005)
84.10-6 955 522 6th Generation (ended 10/2005)
84.10-6 969 268 7th Generation (ended 4/2006)
84.21-6 958 358 8th Generation (ended 5/2006)
84.10-6 987 546 9th Generation (ended 9/2006)
84.10-6 980 130 10th Generation (ended 11/2006)
84.10-9 133 329 11th Generation (ended 1/2007)
84.10-9 145 007 12th Generation (ended 5/2007)
84.10-9 154 358 13th Generation (current as of February 2008)

Martin also maintains a current list of ULF generations on his Bimmernav site, and that is better than my list above, because Bimmernav keeps the list up to date.
