Subject: I only know his ones from discussions in Germany

I know him from the German 7-Forum since >5 years when he was quite active there.
Actually his ones are better known in USA than in Germany where the Rottaler2 chips are well known in the E32 scene. They are actually from my friend Reinhard (the electronic guru of the German 7-Forum) which passed away last year. I visited him last summer and he gave me all his chips for distributing outside of Germany mainly. But as he passed away in August last year, I am supplying them also to Germany to members of the German 7-Forum and others, as many people are asking for them.

Basic idea for these is to improve the performance under daily driving routine and not like a racing engine or theoretical values which one can achive seldom in daily drivimg routine. That means, more Nm, more HP but no need to user higher octane fuel, more push in the lower RPM range, and eliminating the 250 kmh speed limiter.

And combined with less fuel consumption, if possible.

Here for example a comment by Doug:

Your chips are in and work fine, I just have not been to the dyno yet. Drove to Atlanta, Georgia yesterday (150miles/241.4 km each way) and the car did well. Seems to get around 20-22mpg on the highway at a 75mph cruise. I get much worse around town......

If you have much time, read the German forum comments.
I just tell everyone the same for M70 chips:
up to 10% more HP
up to 10% more Nm
more "power" feeling from lower RPM range compared to standard version.
