OK guys read on................

I need a list of cars (year, Vin# and your location) and what you want done to the car. (coding/fixing). I can do e38, e39, and maybe others depending on what you have. I will not do e65! I need a 12v to 110v converter for the laptop and good thick starter cables.

Only the people that pay (donation determined by how many bb members and divided up equally) for the plane ticket will get "free coding" all the others will have to pay a small fee, this is not a business for me. I do not want to earn any money on this but I also don't want to end up paying for this service myself.

Options for coding car key:
Selective unlocking (first push of remote only Drivers door opens, push again all others unlock)
Automatic locking (doors automatically lock above 8 mph)
DRL -> on or off
Windows up and down with Remote Key
Seat memory -> with the keys (seats/mirrors/steering wheel/radio/AC will go presets of MEM 1 or 2), only for new style keys!
Climate control settings per key (AC temp/ fan speed/ air distribution) (new key)
An acoustic signal when lock/unlocking car
Blinkers flash when car is locked/unlocked (visual disarming)
Key in ignition warning
Panic mode (on key) (hold down trunk button key 5 sec)
Boot unlocking with key when car is locked
Auto re-locking (if you unlock car and don't open a door within 1 minute the will auto-lock again)
Comfort function windows (one touch up and down all windows each window can be changed)
Lights on (always on or Off) (xenon)
Follow me home lighting (aka Pathway lighting) (40-90-150-240 sec)
Right mirror tilt function
PDC speaker volume control
Temperature correction + or - 1 to 3 c
Recirculation air memory (on off)
Ac cooling performance (normal/hot climate)

Updating:
DME
LKM
EGS
And any other module that may need updating. Also possible to read the car with OEM software (DIS) if there are any faults stored.

My idea for coding costs are $50 for 4 coding features and $100 for 5
and above, prices may go down based on the number of donations for the
plane ticket.

I suggest that I start in Southern California and go North (This is from everyone’s input on BB):
1. Jan 18th, Friday morning-stay at IBHenry. (Arrive Jan 17)
2. Jan 19th, Saturday meet at a designated location in Irvine, then/or after. (Stay at IBHenry)
3. Jan 20th, Sunday day 2 meet, depending on outcome on Sat, repeat of Sat. or play tourist, pick up SDmike's Caravan for road trip, return to IBHenry.
4. Jan 21st, Mon-Wed open (Work on projects, repairs, mods, etc.) or maybe a meet in Arizona visit, stay a day or two @ Beechy's? Then travel north to San Francisco/Antioch
5. Jan 26th, Saturday meet at a designated location in San Francisco/Antioch, then/or after, someone's house for coding, (stay at Hypercritic's house)
6. Jan 27th, Sunday day 2 meet, depending on outcome on Sat, repeat of Sat. or play tourist, pick up Hypercritic as navigator, take his car (and do some autobahn speeds)
7. Jan 28th, Monday-Wed open (Work on projects, repairs, mods, etc.) or maybe a min-meet, stay a day or two? Then travel North to Seattle, WA (Wong, Rskare, Ed)
8. Jan 31st, Thursday travel back South--->Road trip! Drop off Hypercritic and head back to Diego!
9. Feb 1st, Friday fly home to Amsterdam.

If you have a request or a group some were else I'll consider fling to that location.

Let me know your thoughts! My goal is to meet as many of you as possible, take as many pictures as I can and make this a fun trip!

Do you like this? Did you learn from it? Why not make a contribution to support us and keep this board alive!
