Phone, only ever got the old Motorola GSM fixed to car unit here untill about 2000, I'm sure I could retrofit one from an E38/39, I understand what they did now instead of the Phone/OBC button on the steering. The bluetooth module from the E39 may have some potential

Yes we got the six speed E39, starter on the left... I'l check that out

That EUC function (automatic climate recirc) I have the mounting bracket on the radiator cowling and seem to remember a wire I saw, would have to get a IHKA dash unit from a 750il.

There's lots of empty, but wired up bays and connectors in the E-box under the rear seat I was wondering about.

Where's the Delay unit for the dome light? Tomorrow I'l have time to tackle a PWM soft fade circuit board to plug in directly in place of the relay inside the unit. I have heaps of sample surface mount components, and will post full schematics on the board. (this is going to be much neater and less invasive than wiring and modules all over the place near the dome light)
