Subject: Aftermarket FOG light is piece of ... ART, my crazy retrofit, LOL (long)

Asian aftermarket fog light from eBay, I was reading here about horrable quality and fit. My original one had broken glass. In Canada, everywhere I asked replacement Bosh fog light was from $200 CAD.

I don't choose easy way, LOL :)

So, I bought cheapest on eBay asian aftermarket one. Ok, quality is garbage, fit is garbage (even I can't make it fit), dimentions are about +3mm (from original) on every angle. Plastic is tiny and IMHO it will probably crack during winter.

But! What it has is a nice glass, glass isn't that think like Bosh's one, but still good. It says Hella, but I'm not sure its made by Hella. :)

So, I used the gasket remover spray and removed pieces of remaining glass and rubber glue from original OEM plastic case. Done!

Than I took soldering iron and completely demolished aftermarket fog light in order to remove glass. I couldn't use spray, because it started to melt cheap plastic and making mess. Removed glass and washed it. Done!

And last part: glued new glass to original OEM fog light, I used a lot of black silicone adhesive sealant. End-up looking pretty good, and original fit. Done! :)

Thanks for reading! :)
