Subject: Wheel Finish question...

My question is: I don't know how to approach getting my M-Par rims clean.I bought my car from a great guy in New York (he turned me on to the board!). I'm thinking it might be the result of corrosion from salty winter road driving up there. As you can see in the picture, the black/grey dots look like stains in the clear - I can't really tell if it is the clear breaking down or "in" the clear finish itself.

This photo was taken after trying to clean it with clay bar, rubbing compound, cleaner wax - nothing seems to really help.

Is there a good way to either clean the rims that I haven't tried or to strip the clear off of the rims, polish them out, and re-spray the clear. Has anyone done this? Any help/procedures would be greatly appreciated!
