Subject: SRS Reset using Peak Tool

I have an April 1994 740il, E32. I purchased new the R5-SRS reset tool to reset my SRS system after working on the dash area to replace heater core. I made the mistake of powering up with the airbags disconnected to check for coolant leaks. Major dash work but all went together well. The tool continues to display an E10 and E11 code which means its not communicating to the Siemans 5WK4-061 controller. I checked continuity from the 20-pin under hood diagnostic connector for pins 15 and 20 to the connector at the SRS controller connector and all checks OK. I have the under hood crash sensors, steering wheel air bag and passenger air bag; which indicates the 1993 configuration in my Robert Bentley manual. I've tried the various power down and power up combinations suggested by Peake, but no success. Any suggestions? Thx.
