UPDATE

Im being told by my local stealer (and even BMW Australia) that the crank position sensors on the M70 are the same ie there are two of them that are identical.

Now we all know there are 2 crank sensors - one for each bank.

But even a blind man can see that the LENGTH of the sensors is different - the one that goes to the near side bank is about twice as long as the one to the other bank because it has to go twice as far.

Before ordering these parts can someone please confirm that even though the two sensors might have the same part number that they are different lengths? The pic I attached that shogun posted recently shows this to clearly be the case!

Does anyone know if there are two separate part numbers? The ETK and realoem only show one sensor as well. Grr!
