Hi guys

further to my last post in which I was mentioning problems with the CPS on my M70, I have discovered the following:

- both CPS signal resistance is correct (c. 520 ohms)
- however neither CPS sensor appears to have any shielding - between pins 1 and 3 there is infinite resistance ie, no shielding at all. Bentley says the shielding should be at least 100Kohms.

Seems to me that this lack of shielding could be contributing to the erratic signal - possibly grounding out the signal anywhere along the timing case - although its not clear why its only affecting one bank where both CPS read the same signal resistance which is totally in spec.

Any thoughts?
