He Guys and Girl!
Here the write up on the replacement for the rear window regulator.
For E38 >99 with airbags and/or double glazing.

Please use this link for door panel remove
I had the bad luck that regulator was jammed al the way up.
I hade to find a way to get it out!
Here it is:
Remove door panel.

Remove the 4 M6 13mm bolts and disconnect/remove airbag.
Remove insulation.

In my case wire was totally shot!

The regulator is held in place with 3 bolts.
The bottom a normal 10 mm bolt.

The two above are E12.

I needed to create some room to get the window out.
Remove the T25 that holds the window.

Now we really start to tear the car apart!
Remove the rubber strip on top of the door.

You now see the door trim strip.
You need to gently scweeze the metal so the trim comes free!

Remove the strip from door.

Remove the 2 screws left on the inside of the door to release the trim in the middle of the door.

Now gently push the main window and the side window so they come out.

Remove the trim up so it comes out (all the way)

Now the small window is free and can be removed.

Remove chrome/black strip to create some room.

You already removed the T25 that holds the window on the regulator.
This is what you will see.

Push the right corner of the window out, so you create some room at the bottom, now gently more window to the right so the glass is not locked to the regulator.

Now you can slide the window down and to the right to remove it straight out.

Now you have some room to get to the E12 bolts.

Replace the regulator.
A tip! to put the E12's back, use a pair of pliers to get them almost tight.

Now test the regulator and lower it about 3/4 inch.
Install the window and make sure it POPS in the regulator!
Be sure it looks like pic below before you let go of the window!

Then install the side window by bending down the chrome strip on the inside.

Reinstall the strip between windows and just lightly tighten the centre screw on the inside.

Windows are in!

Reinstall top trim and make sure you press down when expanding the clamps (two people would be better)

Reinstall the rubber top cover.

Looks good HUH?? Thumbs UP!

When you are at the $tealer ask them some sealer to reseal the door trim! It needs to be water tight again!
