Subject: CPT7000 -> CPT8000 upgrade

Hey all - I just received the last of the parts necessary for me to upgrade my factory CPT7000 (prod date 6/2000 car) to CPT8000.

I have the TCU, a new cradle, the handset, the TCU bracket, the cabling necessary to attach the 25 pin connector to the TCU, and various nuts and bolts.

I'm crystal clear on all parts of the install except how this new TCU and it's bracket should be fitted to the car. Obviously it goes somehow roughly where where the PSE from the CPT7000 are right now, but it's not clear how by looking at it.

I'm sure I could figure it out after screwing around for a while, but I sure would appreciate if someone could post some pics, a PDF, or point me to something that might arm me better before I dive in.

Thanks!

Al
