not sure what these 5 bulbs illuminate...I understand what you meant by thinking that the odometer was illuminated by LED...but perhaps it uses LCD (liquid crystal display) instead which is illuminated from the back...and could account for the 5 bulbs shown in the diagram and part nbr index.
