I Think if you have an older model your pretty limited as to what you can fit, the older bmw models (before 86) have a "coarse spline" hub as opposed to most cars after 86 have a fine spline. Im not sure the difference in the number of splines on either hub, I just know theres more on the fine than the coarse.

Apparently my 86 735i to my surprise has the coarse as I cant transfer the wheel off of my 325 to it.


Do A search on ebay, there are usually a few steering wheels on there thatll give you an idea whats availibe.
