That's a good price from Safelite regardless of Verizon employee discount. Smart of you to bring it to them on a cold day. Which Safelite vendor did you take to for install, sounds like a professional manager there. My windshield was replaced by previous owner, love it, since I can mount my V1 on top unlike many 01 E38 owners.

I had a windshield replaced in a SUV once during a cold day, the guy was shaking so hard, despite my attempt to keep him warm by having him work inside my garage with a portable heater cranking. The molding adhesive was not smooth in appearance, though no leaks whatsoever, just ugly in appearance. Since then I always take it to the shops for them to install.
