You can't use a CPT8000 phone with a CPT8000 car. The CDMA Verizon CPT7000 will work fine, as will any TDMA CPT7000, of which I happen to have two right now. I was getting ready to sell one on ebay (selling the other). I'll let it go for $200.00 plus shipping, which is a pretty good deal considering they tend to get bid up to $250 on ebay pretty easily.

I need to know the production date of your car to know whether they will work though, as there are two different types of CPT7000. There is one based on the Startac 7790i, which works in all CPT7000 systems, and one based on the 7797, which only works on newer ones, and on CPT8000 (I hear).

The one I use is the one based on 7790, as my CPT7000 is older, so I'm selling the 7797 one.
