Before you jump into 'cost too much' conclusions you have to consider what it would cost to replace your car with similar but new vehicle. I’d say our E32s are comparable to Acura TL, Infiniti G35 or Lexus IS when you look at features and specs.

I think if you pick up 735i (no 12v or iL LAD that is $$$ to rebuild) its feasible to get it to never breaks stage in under 10G, less if you can wait to buy one in pristine shape.
