My first email address in college used first initial and last name. If you had a common name, like me, most likely someone already had the email address, so they started adding numbers after your initial. Mine was m6 and then my last name. People started calling me "m6" and it stuck. On every other board I'm M_Six, but this place wouldn't let me use the underscore, so it's msix.
