Subject: Re: Poll: Best BMW design ever

The 507 (the best design/appearance BMW ever!), e24 Sixer (next best and still my first love...), e38 7 & e32 7 (tied at 3rd place). This is purely based on appearance. I have owned 2 from the list now (e24 & e32), will eventually own an e38, but probably never a 507 (too few of them made - too little money).

I am a BMW freak. I like many other makes and models of cars, but no other manufacturer draws me in like BMW! But I am partial to the 1976-1979 Porsche 930/911 Turbo in silver and a 1987-1991 928 S4 in black.

As far as the new X5, I really do not see much difference between it and the previous generation. You either love it, hate it or just realize that people are not wanting to fall in love with cars anymore. They want shiny, aerodynamic pieces of crap that do not require any commitment.

I still remember reading someone's comments a while ago and they hit home: "If you do not look back over your shoulder when walking away from your car, you are not driving the right car".

Just my opinion...
