Painted calipers! First, many thanks to Manith for helping me out during the Holidays & allowing me to borrow his jack & jack stands.

First pic is the unpainted caliper, with the prep work done (outside pad taken off so no paint gets on the brake pad), rotor masked off to keep stray brush strokes away from the surface:

Next, here's the caliper with the first coat of the G2 caliper paint (Brembo Red, as I like to call it):

Here's the caliper with the 4 coats of paint & the arched "BMW" white lettering applied:

Here's a look at the wheel and caliper together:

Finally, here's a bit of a further back shot to show the color of the car, wheel & painted caliper:

I like the new look. The darker red calipers show a bit of color inside the wheel well area, but it's not really a bright red - it's a bit darker & muted. I'll have to wait & see how the decal letters hold up under wear & tear & washing. Technically, this was a pretty simple DIY thing to do, but working in the garage, painting the calipers 4 times and working on your back (to get the underside of the calipers), knees & side, it gets a bit tiring.....or am I just getting old? Naw........(grin)
