One of my friends used to sell oil - he's engineer/chemistry.

He made a good point the other day: he told that the oil sold today as "regular" (and relatively cheap) is the oiltype that 5-10 years ago was top of the product range.

So bying for example a regular 15 W - 40 will provide your car with an oil, that back in 97 would be just luxury and the 7 will love it!

Tried synnthetic on the wife's Volvo with nearly 300.000 km's - it ran out of every gasket it could find, so i went back to 15 W 40 now it stays inside the engine!
