Subject: Got my first *wave*...sorta...

Been riding Harley since '93.. quite common to pass another Harley and get a wave... Its an automatic reflex now-a-days. Gotten a few One fingered waves from non-Harley riders as well...but thats another story.
I was driving home from work today, clear lanes of traffic with good visiblity in both directions. I notice a guy in what appeared to be a late 70's early 80's 3 series in a turn lane coming towards me... just before we pass another he flashed his headlights. Now I see quite a few newer BmW's on the road everyday, but NEVER got any acknowledgement from them. Just thought that was cool... So I waved back.
Being a newbie to the Bimmer World... especially the Classic (re: Old)I have to say, Im rather surprised at the reception Ive gotten from pretty much everyone Ive come across. Whether it be a Forum.. dealership.. parts counter or even Internet shopping. EVERYbody without fail has been helpful and encouraging!!

It USED to be that way with Harley... which Im sad to say has changed its ways to accomodate *Progress*. Now-a-days I walk into a HD dealership and feel like a bad step-child. And get treated as such.

Later, WaB
