The top of the ramps can rest as high as 72", and figuring you probably have at least a 4" ride height, you've got about 6'4" of clearance to work at the highest locks. Those columns are about 84.5". Each of the ramps is about 20" wide, and they handle a wheelbase up to 165." A caster kit allows me to move the lift anywhere in my garage, even after driving a car onto it.

It came with the lift, casters, jack tray, 3 drip trays and a telescoping oil drain for $1932 shipped. The lift reached my city the same day I ordered (about a 180 mile trip). As far as I can tell its very sturdy. The design is supposedly tested with 21,000 lbs to get its rating of 7,000 lbs.

An e38 doesn't begin to tax the thing.
