Youth vs Wisdom.Z06 W/ LT7 at 60-75k is a WAAY better vehicle from all aspects than best of BMW, Ferrari or Lamb can offer. Plus 100-200k cheaper. [not just my take, AUTO mags say same thing]. LT1 is history. Great motor but technology went on to Gen II and III. Make it happen is cubes - add electonics and rock n roll. My 740 reports 17.3 MPG on computer and my calculator is +- .1
My 350v8 TBI is 15.2 city and 22.2 highway ( not stock - but cam, duals etc- not too bad for a 91 1500 pickup. Oem at 195 HP, no idea today but for sake of discusson say 250 - forget at what RPM or torgue. It defintely will get out of its own way. Not a 740 at 40-80 but watch out at 20-80. Then again my 745 was a dog till 3000 when the boost came on board and 40-80 was 2 sec. All is a compromise.

After 4 7 cars, my hassle is with the cost to fix a simple thing.
Both cost of parts, warranty and labor along with hassle of Diy labor. 100 scale for (waterpump, starter, generator, belts) for GM
and 1000 for similar on BMW. Labor excluded.$72 for new front rotors pads and supplies for GMC (diy labor). Last month $600 via indy to do same for 740il. If you ask why I did not do 740il, then your are a single fellow. I always allocate 2x what I expect is time to finish a DIY. Gotta keep em off the deadline board.

BC - it is just a hunk of metal, glass, plastic, etc. Like it yes, love it well a few better ways to use that emotion perhaps.
Htrd - ideas on 6.0 vs 5.3. looking hard a silver 05 ss vs hassle of 07 slt. 7 has some goodies, wider track, boxed rails D on Demand. Then again + 10k bucks. Still hunting with 17 valve - works fine. Maybe i WILL just paint that puppy and save 20k.

Who knows. Life is just a matter of choices. I never look back.
