Removed headliner to fix the sunroof leaking problem, done and put back everything. Here's the procedure

You can see the water dirt on the steel hose caused by long time leaking.

Another view. I put clamps to hold the front drain hose to make sure it won't come off.

This is the place I think to cause the leaking problem. When the sunroof gasket is damaged that too much rain/water enter the sunroof, the drain hoses are not draining water fast enough, water will go into the metal cover gap, through the drive chain and go on the headliner to enter the cabin.

This is rear drain hose. Looks good to me so I didn't even touch it.

First get the headliner in the car. Make your seats to the lowest, back-end position to make more space. Mine is a 740i, room is very very tight, 7xxiL will be easier for sure.

Took me 30 minutes to get it in,done.

I was working alone so I had to use two ropes to hold up the headliner. Better take off the mirror to make more room. Slip the edges of the headliner into the gaps of the rubber trims above the doors. Make sure the position is right.

This is the frame holding the headliner from the top.

Frame is back on.

Put back the floating roof liner, and then the sunroof. Adjust the sunroof if necessary.

Put back all the trims, lights and mirror and done.

These are the A,B,C pillar trims, you may want to see the back of them so you know all the positions of hooks and clips and not breaking them when you try to remove them.
