Thanks for your on going posts. You're breaking new ground and documenting it well for us. No thoughts of a trailer with my e38 since I have a '95 Nissan Pathfinder I use as a hauler and an airport parking lot queen. But I've had a thought about a hitch for a bicycle carrier, so perhaps your travails prevent recurrence here.
