The stock driveshaft joints are not servacealbe and will eventually wear becomming loose. I think it is more common for the rubber vibration dampener (the black disk near the center joint) to fail first. When I did mine this disk was severely torn. Given the cost of replacing just this vs buying a rebuilt driveshaft, rebuilt is the better way to go.
