see here for pics http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=77722 and i am not sure if the e38 and e39 have different 'trays' for the SIA, but I was able to install mine without dremmeling, only using a "mild amount of force" to install it. As the pics show, it's in, and it works (though it may never come out again!)
