I just replaced mine about a month ago. I found one on ebay for about 30 dollars. It was easy to replace. After taking it apart I found that likely I did not need to replace if I had opened it properly. It seems the cable was not laid in properly to activate the latch. This would have been a simply fix except of course I did take a strong hand to the latch and broke the mechanism. I suggest if you have not done like I did and forced the latch open that you might take it apart and see if the cable is in its stops properly as to let the lever pull the cable through its sheath and actuate the catch. I was suprised at simple fix if I had known. If the latch is truly broken than search ebay, I actually found mine by accident searching for some A/C parts. One of the suppliers had it listed and I cannot remember whom I bought it from. If you need to know I could go back and try to see who it was.
