I have of course thought about all these things...

1.
The engine and gearbox are pushed very far back. The front end of the engine is not more than 29cm in front of the center of the wheels. That is a lot less than even an M20 in a standard E30.

2.
The engine is slightly biased to the left to compensate for drivers weight.

3.
Everything possible (ABS pump, ECUs, fuel supply, catch tanks, wiring loom, battery and so on) is situated to the rear/right side of the car. The car has also an uprated and heavier diff and in addition two fuel tanks.

4.
The suspension is fully adjustable (pure racing) with uniballs and aluminium. Not that this in any way relieves the car from physical laws, but I can manipulate things a bit.

5.
Driving on track, the slicks will provide better traction and since I like oversteered cars and don't think it will pose such a big problem.

In any case, a comparison to a turbocharged engine is not a good idea. I have driven a lot of turbocharged cars on track and they generally do not work very well. I would NEVER have anything but a N/A engine in this car. But I DO care for a lot of power, a V12 can provide tha kind of power and still give med the linear power band I need. The V12 also has a surprisingly crisp throttle response - superior to any modern BMW engine, except the M3 CSL (which I drove last week
