Since I'm a newbie here I'm not quite sure where to post this message, but I take my chances on the E32 Forum - surely the closest related I would reckon...

OK! Here's the story.
About 10 months ago I started on a very big project. Converting my E30 semi racer (with an M30B35) into a mad, bad V12 equipped hardcore racer.
The car is closing in on completion and things have been running quite smoothly (see pics if you like...). Until now that is...
The engine was taken from a very low mileage 750iAL and I got a very pricey used manual gearbox from a 850CSI.
The true challenge is to convert the engine management into thinking that it is a manual gearbox and NOT an automatic. Even though the engine is running very smooth and strong, it does not deliver it's true power potential when exceeding 3000RPM.
Does anyone know what needs to be done to bypass the electronic system on this engine?
Also, it is important to know that I have used the 750s wiring loom (although stripped it down to a bare minimum - I really don't need the wiring to the electric seats for instance:))
