OK, here goes. tell me what I did wrong and maybe we can have one for the Archives here.

Equipment:
Metric Sockets
Wire Stripper/Cutter
Stubby Screwdrivers.
Head Unit
Speaker Wire (I used Monster)
Speakers
Coffee or Beer (I used Coffee)

The equipment:

Note the driveway. I took that picture so you can tell it's for a 750.

I decided to run both Rear Speaker lines down the passenger side of the car, remove the Rear Seat and Trim like So:
Like most BMW parts, with the trim, just PULL

The remove the plastic pins on the trim on the B-Pillar:

Then pull out from the bottom

And Pull Down, note the clips at the top:

Look at this 16 year old trim, these cars are unreal.

Front Door jamb, again Pull:

Front Passenger Kick Panel, open the little hatch hiding a platic screw clip, and turn both 90 degrees.

and Viola

Peel back the carpet a bit, here we see P.O. Subwoofer lines.

Have some Coffee

change the Miles Davis CD.(I used Sorcerer)

Now for the Drivers Side Kick Panel:
Reach behind the trim and (you guessed it) pull:

Disconnect the Dimmer Switch:

Repeat on the other side of the steering wheel, again pull.
This will expose the three bolts holding the panel under the steering wheel in (the name escapes me).
Don't forget about the two screws on the bottom too:

Now remove the hood latch, it is held in by a nut (10mm?), not too much room but it shouldn't be too tight, I just put a socket on mine and turned it by hand:

A few more plastic clip screws and Viola!
