be with the date on the black plate of 9/00? I guess it would be 2000 or is this an intermediate step between the 2000 and the 2001?

Reason for asking is that it's listed as a 2001 model, it has the widescreen NAV, but the Startac (CPT7000?) phone.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question. Reason is that I am buying the car - I really like it and may want to modify some on the car.

I came from Europe to the US about 3 months ago and had an X5-4.4 which I had to sell, which I liked a lot, but now I would like to try the E38-7 series.

Have seen that there is some activity in retrofitting the Bluetooth kit - I would surely be interested (and I'll post that in the right thread as well).

If you read this and you could shed some light on my model year question, that would be very helpful as I know merely nothing yet about this model.
