We could call it the "navigation computer buyer's guide." Like John suggests, we need a good parts supercession with comments about what we know with each part. We also need good parts supercession lists of the "bad" computers as well. Finally, we need good example pictures of everything. I figure that each picture needs a good front view, back view, and label view.

Roy, I think that you have the best reference information for the MKxx nav computers. The NAVI computers are still current in the ETK, so getting a list there will be relatively easy. Getting a list for the SZ computers should not be that tough. Finally, we will have to figure out a way to get as complete a list as possible for the radio nav computers.

Here is my thought on an outline

I. Intro about how easy it is to make mistakes
II. Overview of the four types of NAV computers (Normal MKxx, SZ MKxx, radio MKxx, and NAVIxx)
III. Pictures, descriptions, and example part numbers for Normal MKxx
IV. Pictures, descriptions, and example part numbers for SZ MKxx
V. Pictures, descriptions, and example part numbers for radio MKxx
VI. Pictures, descriptions, and example part numbers for NAVIxx
VII. Key questions to ask a seller about the unit before you buy
