Subject: Euro Smiley Question...

Just picked up a pair of Bosch Euro Smiley's off eBay and I'm wondering what installing these into my US '94 750 will entail.

The Euros are Bosch H1 with electric aiming and the little city light extra bulb.

My car originally came w/Xenon's but the previous owner converted to Halogens (not sure why) and that's what it has now.

So I guess my questions would be:

(1) Will I need a Euro LKM or will mine work?

(2) Is this a straightforward "splice the new wire into the old wire" deal or should I get a mechanic/electrician to do this?

(3) I'm assuming there won't be a plug for the extra little city light bulb in my US spec car. Am I wrong and there is one? If not, where would I splice these into to get them to work? I'm assuming the parking lights but would I need a resistor or something like that or is it just a straight-up splice job?

The car has self-leveling, so I would just remove the aiming devices and replace with a fixed adjuster.

If anyone can share their wisdom on this, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Rey
