The video module will run the display without a nav computer installed. So, what if you disconnected the nav computer, and then also disconnected every pin from the VM plugs that are not essential to the operation of the module and the display. This would probably leave you with everything connected on the blue plug, and only pins 13 and 14 connected on the white plug.

This would be a "raw" environment that ought to work. If this does not work as you expect, then I am totally mystified.

If the raw environent does work, then I would methodically reconnect pins to the white plug do see if anything there causes it to change behavior. Finally, I would reconnect the nav computer.

As a test-lite, have you tried just disconnecting the A/V signal pins (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, and 15) from the white plug?
