The fuel filter is the large silver canister in the photo above. It's located on the driver's side of the car, above and forward of the rear axle. The rusty looking cylinder above it is the fuel pump.

A closeup view of the fuel filter. The hose clamp on the left side has been loosened, allowing a bit of fuel to spray out. Actually, quite a bit of fuel will spray out so have something handy to collect it and keep your cigarette-smoking friends at a distance! There's another hose clamp on the right side.

The filter is held in place by two metal bands.

Place the two rubber sleeves onto the fuel filter. Note the direction of the arrow. It indicates the flow of fuel, from the tank to the engine. When installed on the car, it will be pointed from the passenger side to the driver side.

Install the new fuel filter and tighten the two metal bands and the two hose clamps. Make sure that the filter is oriented correctly with the arrow pointing to the left in the photo above.

The completed installation of the new fuel filter.
