Here's the official BMW Certified Pre-Owned consumer brochure (courtesy of e38.org).

For the CPO warranty:

1. Maintenance is NOT covered.

2. Yes, there are exceptions for things not covered and there is a $50 deductible, per issue. That means, if you take your car in for a problem with the radiator and an unrelated problem with the radio, that would be two issues ($50 x 2). Actually, the radio is a bad example because it's not covered by the CPO warranty.
